Planning Commission to review highway ordinances on Tuesday

LULA, Ga. – The Planning Commission of the City of Lula will hear the following variance requests during the Planning Commission meeting on Feb. 1, 2022 that begins at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 6055 Main Street, Lula, Georgia, and the Council of the City of Lula will hear the same requests during the Council Meeting on Feb. 21, 2022 that begins at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
Property located at 5277 Old Cornelia Highway, Tax Parcel No. 15007A 000021B and 5281 Old Cornelia Highway, Tax Parcel No. 15007A 000012.
Holly Owens seeks variances to reduce setbacks as follows:

5277 Old Cornelia Hwy.

  • reduce front setback from 100 feet to 50 feet;
  • reduce north side setback from 25 feet to 9 feet
  • reduce south side setback from 25 feet to 15 feet.

5281 Old Cornelia Hwy.

  • reduce front setback from 100 feet to 50 feet
  • reduce north side setback from 25 feet to 16 feet
  • reduce south side setback from 25 feet to 15 feet.
