Residents Escape Safely After Maysville House Fire Causes Minor Damage

BANKS COUNTY, Ga. – A Maysville home sustained minor damage Thursday after an afternoon fire, according to Banks County Fire and Emergency Services.

Crews were dispatched around 4:41 p.m. to a residence near Skeeter Drive and arrived to find smoke coming from inside the home. All occupants were able to escape without injury.

Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, containing most of the damage to the room where the fire started. Smoke damage was reported throughout the home.

Officials said the fire was caused by an electrical issue.
